Hosting an Event
Enhancing Life in Kemah Through Programming
The City of Kemah welcomes proposals from qualified organizations to provide engaging, safe, and enriching programming for both residents and visitors of all ages. Programs may include:
- Community events
- Special or seasonal gatherings
- Recurring classes or workshops
- Other creative initiatives that support Kemah as a vibrant local hub and coastal destination
We are looking for programming that brings people together, strengthens community ties, and offers extraordinary opportunities for shared experiences.
Who Should Apply
Organizations with strong leadership, a clear operational plan, and a passion for community involvement are encouraged to apply. Selected organizations will operate independently from the City of Kemah, providing their own staff, structure, and resources.
Each applicant must submit a qualification package demonstrating:
- Relevant experience
- Proposed programming details
- Understanding and willingness to adhere to the sample Facility Use Agreement provided
Facility Use Agreement
To support successful partnerships, the City will enter into a formal Facility Use Agreement with the selected organizations. This agreement will define:
- The working relationship between both parties
- Mutual expectations
- Responsibilities regarding facility use and program execution
Selection Process
Space requests will be reviewed on a seasonal basis and awarded based on:
- Availability of City facilities
- Strength and completeness of the proposal
- Demonstrated ability to meet the expectations outlined in the Facility Use Agreement
