Contractor Registration & Permitting

The City of Kemah uses the MyGov Portal to manage all contractor registrations and permit applications. Contractors must register on MyGov before submitting any permits to the City.

Kemah follows the most current International Code Council (ICC) building codes and the National Electrical Code (NEC). Contractors should also review the City’s Code of Ordinances for additional local requirements that may apply to specific projects.

The goal of our permitting process is to ensure that all residential and commercial development in Kemah meets established safety and quality standards.

By creating a contractor account on MyGov, you’ll be able to submit applications, track progress, and participate in City projects entirely online.
