Kemah Community Development Corporation (KCDC)

The corporation aims to retain and promote business enterprises in the City of Kemah, thereby encouraging the economic growth and prosperity of its citizens as per the Development Corporation Act of 1979, as amended.

City of Kemah Municipal Management District #1 (MDD1)

Kemah Municipal Management District No. 1 serves the Meritage development area and is governed by a Board of Directors made up of residents, landowners, or representatives of property owners within the District. The Board oversees infrastructure improvements, operating under Chapters 375 and 49 of the Texas Local Government Code and the Water Code. All meetings and actions are subject to open government laws, and bond issuances must be approved by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and the Attorney General. The City of Kemah maintains oversight through board appointments, bond approvals, and related regulatory controls.

The Galveston Council Animal Services Advisory Committee (ASAC)

Reviews and recommends changes to ARC operations, policy, regulations and budget to the Galveston County United Board of Health. 
The board can act on the recommendations or return the matter to the committee for further review.

Kemah Events Committee

The Kemah Events Committee is an all-volunteer group that plans community events for the City of Kemah.
