Water and Wastewater
The City of Kemah does not provide water service. Within the Kemah city limits, there are two water service providers, based on the address within the City.
Garbage, Recycling, and Trash Pickup
Effective, October 1, 2018, the City of Kemah has an exclusive contract with AmeriWaste for garbage and recycling service within the City Limits.
- Residents: The City of Kemah provides free garbage, recycling, and trash pickup for the residents.
- Commercial: Must contract directly with AmeriWaste for service.
Street Light Outages should be reported to CenterPoint Energy:
To report a street light outage,
- Record the address (or location) of the streetlight in question.
- Make sure you are within the City Limits of Kemah (not just that you have a Kemah mailing address).
- Record the 6-digit number on the streetlight in question.
- Report the outage online

Residents are free to choose their provider. The lists below have a limited sample of providers in the area and are provided simply to assist our residents. The City of Kemah does not make recommendations or warranties about service from any of these providers.
